Cultural Committee

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he  grows up.” 

To provide platform to the students in their interest area Cultural Committee organized and students participated in the three stairs. First  stairway,  students of the college had participated in 50^th Intercollegiate youth festival and in this festival Our student MS.KIMAYA PATIL OF S.Y.B.SC.IT won 3^rd rank in Story Telling Competitions (Group A Marathi) in first round.

At Second Stair Cultural Committee organized the cultural event in our college with collaboration of CHINTAMANI KALA BHAVAN, TARAPUR. To provide platform to the students in their interest area like Painting, Rangoli, Diwa & pot painting etc. we organized 5 days workshop on fine arts events.

At Third flight of stairs we celebrated PULOTSAV and Kala – Krida Mohotsav2017-18   from 12^th DEC to 24 th Dec, 2017. Various Fine Arts Competitions, Antakshari Competition, Personality Contest( Mr. Shroff & Miss Shroff) , Solo song, Group Song, Solo Dance, Group Dance Competitions were organized  and students showed their talents in various competitions. This year Award of Perosnality Contest Mr. Shroff – Mr. Shabaz Shaikh and Miss. Shroff – Miss. Saloni Deshmukh of BSC IT.

Report on Intercollegiate Youth Festival

University of Mumbai every year organizing youth festival to provide platform to students, so this year University of Mumbai organized 50th intercollegiate youth festival and in this festival our college P.L.SHROFF COLLEGE OF ARTS &COMMERCE , CHINCHANI participated in  it.

College Level Cultural  Activities

The main goal of cultural activities is making a student social. As most of the activities involve a group of students, they make the student a team player. Also, they teach the students to coordinate with his team mates. When people from different niches, cultures, religions and fields gather together and take part in an activity, it motivates the students to understand the circumstances and manage accordingly. This skill is highly demanded in the society as well as in organizations. And  PLSC cultural department is aiming the same.

Every year Cultural department members anculcate students in various competitions and programs. Cultural programs are Rangoli competition, Mehendi Competition, Painting Competition, Face painting, Nail painting, Warli painting Cultural committee  members : Prof. Vidya Dahisarkar, Prof. Gauri Datir, Prof. Vanashree Phalke, Prof. Dyaneshwar Bhosle, Prof. Parveen Kaladia, Prof. Nishta Kelkar, Prof. Kalyani Joshi, Prof. Shamal Kale

Every year Cultural Committee organising PULOTSAV Event in which students participating in Singing, Dancing Competitions, Antakshari Competition.

Mr. And Miss. SHROFF – personality competition is the Gem of the entire Pulotsav event.
