B.Sc. I.T. Department

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc.IT) is a under graduation 3 years (Six Semester) degree course. The Department fulfill as its dream of inculcating group dynamics, human skills and employable skills in the students by conducting different events. It promotes research habits amongst undergraduate students and updates them on the recent trends of IT.

It enhances the employability skill by conducting Add-on Courses and Bridge Courses to bridge the gap between the syllabus and the industry requirements. It encourages.

Admission to the course is offered on the basis of the University of Mumbai.

Objectives:

To give affordable IT education to our rural area students.
To provide adequate basic understanding about the field. Give an adequate exposure and to prepare student to exploit opportunities being newly created in the field of IT.
To give additional avenue of self employment and also to benefit surrounding industries by providing them suitable trained person.
To initiate holistic development of student to meet and match the challenging takes ahead of them.
To develop IT professionals in rural area.

Sushil Dhangar of SY B.Sc.IT worked with Resilient Foundation and helped in managing the funds distribution and food distribution to over 17000 people per day. He also worked with the local community to help spread awareness about the CoronaVirus Pandemic and helped in creating posters regarding the safety measures to be followed.

Cultural report 2025-26

CULTURAL DEPARTMENT REPORT 2025-26 I take the opportunity to present the cultural department report on behalf of my dedicated team. Our cultural team members & Student Cultural head Miss Sharwari Shinde took great initiatives with zeal to preserve cultural instincts in our learners at all levels under the leadership of I/C Principal Dr. Suchita V. Karvir. On 11^th JULY 2025 conducted Talent hunt for students to provide them stage to showcase their talent in upcoming youth festival.

On August 2nd, 2025, 35 students from our college participated in the 58th Youth Festival organized by Mumbai University at L. R. Tiwari College. In Mehndi art our student Shabnam Khan received 3^rd Prize. In the event youth festival students participated in elocution, Mehendi Art, poster making, collage making,story writing, on-the-spot painting, debate, Photography etc. Also, our students participated in Indian group songs, Indian group folk dances, and Marathi skit, One Act play, Quiz. All the members made efforts to encourage students to participate. Prof. Vidya Dahisarkar made special efforts for the skit by writing the script of ‘Vilakha’.

(Inauguration of 58^th youth festival) In the month of December following activities conducted by Cultural Department. For smoothly completing the whole PULOTSAV 2025-26 Cultural Department received able participation of all Teaching as well as Non teaching Staff of Shri P.L.Shroff college. On 11^th Dec 2025 Fine Art events Inaugurated by the hands of IQAC Co-ordinator Prof.Dr. Chitra Ashtekar, Prof. Dr. PrernaRaut , O.S Sadhna Madam & other teachers.

On 1^st January 2026 Personality Contest i.e Mr. & Miss Shroff Contest & Antakshri conducted. Hon. Rajnikantbhai Shroff sir (Chairman CTES) , Hon. Ramilaben Shroff madam, Hon. Nishikant Joshi (Management committee member ), Mr. Mahesh Patil (Management committee member ) graced the event with their valuable presence. Mr. Hemant Haldaniya (Senior Technician H1, BARC & Choreographer ,Commentator in Football & Cricket DAE events) & Mrs. Shubhangi Kore (Singer & Senior Z.P Teacher) were the judges for the contest. Mr. Ankit Prajapati (T.Y.BMS) crowned for Mr. Shroff & Miss Anjali Singh (F.Y.Bsc.I.T) crowned for Miss Shroff. The winners of Mr. & Miss Shroff Contest received Cash Prize of Rs.2,500/ each from Mrs. Brinda Tushar Shah & Mr. Tushar Ramanlal Shah in the loving memories of Late Dr. Ramanlal Shah & Late Indumati Ramanlal Shah.
